Bae Fest is an independent community festival held on the picturesque foreshores of Swansea Bay, South Wales.

A unique and colourful event with a carnival atmosphere and a programme packed with water and land-based events, live music, arts and crafts, kids’ entertainment and much more.

The non-profit event supports environmental and community initiatives and encourages greater awareness and public participation in greener and healthier living.  And what's more, entry to the festival is free.  All proceeds raised by Bae Fest are awarded to charities.  Among our past nominated causes are Action for Children, Wales Air Ambulance, Maritime Volunteer Services and Wonder Years Centre of Excellence.

The festival has grown into the largest event of its kind in Wales and has featured in 'Surfer', America's largest surfing magazine and has been nominated for six awards.

Over 250 surfers took part in the 2008 Chain for Charity. The event not only raises funds for worthwhile causes, but also highlights the importance of responsible use of the beach and protection of marine life.

Sustainable development and green-craft workshops play a big part in the event programme. Members of the public can participate in free activities, such as green woodworking above.
